INTRODUCTION:
I thought I had it tough just trying to find someone who was into the idea of an open relationship, but I think it's even harder to put on BDSM events at a concert venue that for six nights of the week just puts on regular shows and is considered one of the top 50 small concert venues in the country. So an early kudos to Numbers Night Club, where - thanks to Kinky Tuesdays presented by the Kinky Collective - the stage of one of the best nightclubs in Houston is filled St Andrews' crosses and a ton of other BDSM furniture, and lucky participants are whipped and squeezed for the benefit of the just as lucky attendees, me and my partner included.
The BDSM and swinging community is alive and well in Houston, but it can be very discreet, in a blink and you'll miss it sort of way. I must have walked by posters inside Numbers several times when just going to see some concert before I noticed that it was an advertisement for Numbers Night Club - Kinky Tuesdays, which was not only happening here, but happening every single Tuesday. I wasn't really sure what to expect when I went the first time, and was quite nervous, but it was amazing, and now it's a regular part of my schedule.

ABOUT:
If you are even remotely interested in the world of BDSM (which stands for Bondage-Domination-Sadism-Masochism), this is an excellent way to get your feet wet. The Kinky Collective has found a wonderful way to give the 'too long: didn't read' version of sexual kinks and fetishes that won't cause a majority of attendees recoiling in horror. Taking place in an actual nightclub that has regular concerts throughout the week helps ensure that people are going to be a bit more comfortable with any sort of show here, and the rules for a public venue like this prohibits certain types of sexual acts, anyway.
So what will you see when you attend Numbers Night Club - Kinky Tuesdays? Plenty of people in leather (but no nudity) being tied to large pieces of wood and spanked, scantily clad people tied up carefully in ropes being suspended from the ceiling, and scantily clad people with plenty of piercings also being suspended by their piercings from the ceiling. Sometimes there's a strip-tease and burlesque shows. And there is always vendor booths were you can buy local art with a kinky flair to it, as well as some actual gear for a BDSM lifestyle.
In many ways, it's more of alternative arts night than it is about a hot and steamy sex show, but that just gives you the opportunity to learn a lot more of what you can incorporate into your own love life. And if you're having a great time, you might just meet someone there who has the same fantasies and desires as you.
