When I went for the first day, I was blown away with how bright and upscale it was. It really feels like a hotel day spa, except a whole lot gayer of course. Bathhouses can tend to be on the dark side, or a little bit plain. The Greenhouse Health Club is sleek and clean and has the feel of a hotel spa. But don't worry, even with all the clean and sleek lines, there are still plenty of private and intimate corners where you can have a lot of fun.

The best thing about the Greenhouse in Birmingham is that it has an indoor pool and a dance room. It's the only Greenhouse location that boasts these two features! The indoor poor is a real treat, complete with a waterfall and spa cave. It's big enough for a dozen or so men to fit in there comfortably. The dance room features neon lights and a state of the art sound system and the club has special dance nights throughout the week.

The Greenhouse is spread over four floors. Yes, it is massive! Along with the indoor pool and dance room, there is a large locker room, communal showers, dry sauna, steam room, private and communal rest rooms, fetish rooms, relaxation area, restaurant, lounge, and sundeck. The club is located north of Birmingham and definitely not near the city centre, but it is very easy to get to via car or public transit. And it is definitely worth the trip out of the city, trust me!

Who would've thought that Birmingham of all cities would have one of the best bathhouses I've ever visited but here we are. It's been about a year since my first visit to the Greenhouse and I honestly can't image my life without it. I am definitely there at least once a week, if not more. Pros

What I especially love about the Greenhouse is how it doesn't have that typical seedy, plain bathhouse vibe. Not trying to knock all of my other fave bathhouses out there but they often have a certain kind of look to them. Somehow Greenhouse still manages to be discreet and sexy but also comes across like a luxury spa at the same time! Not to mention it is one of the cleanest bathhouses I've ever visited. I generally bring my own towel and supplies but the concierge always has extra things like towels, condoms, and lube.

Another thing that I love is the full restaurant. Not a lot of bathhouses offer a proper restaurant which I always feel is a missed opportunity since they are usually open all day long! The restaurant is the one spot where you are expected to just eat and not, you know, start fucking on the buffet table (although there is nothing wrong with some making out!).

I also really love the rooftop sun lounge. Of course, being England means that the sunny days can be far and few between but on the rare sunny days I almost always make sure to find time to enjoy the sun and some good, kinky company on the sundeck.

The Greenhouse welcomes anyone and everyone but they are especially good to their regulars. The monthly and weekly events tend to get frequented by the regulars and I can now count myself as a regular attendee of Dare2Bare night. I rarely miss one and each time it's a fun and flirty night.

Cons

Honestly, this club is pretty close to perfect. I mean, there is an indoor pool with a waterfall! Plus regular buffets! And a sundeck! What isn't perfect about that? But if I was going to be super picky, I would have to say that sometimes it's a drag that the Greenhouse isn't located closer to the Birmingham city center. Now, that is being super duper picky because if you have a car it's only a twenty minute drive from the center of the city. That is hardly anything!

If you don't have a car, however, it's about an hour via public transit. It's not the most convenient but I really do think it's worth the trip out three. The best recommendation would be to make friends with someone with a car and carpool there. Nothing better than carpooling to the bathhouse together!

It's hard to come up with any other negatives, although I have read that some guests prefer the darker, plainer kinds of bathhouses. If you look at the photos, you might wonder how dirty and kinky you can get in a place that looks like a hotel spa but trust me, you can get your kink on here. The private fetish rooms are decked out with all the BDSM and bondage gear you could want, plus the sauna and steam rooms are always kept super intimate. Honestly, the brightest parts of the Greenhouse are the more public areas like the front entrance, restaurant, and relaxation areas - AKA the perfect rooms when you are wanting to take a breather.
