INTRODUCTION:

Because Bashful And Bold's website is a Facebook page, it took me a little doing in order to find out all of the information that I needed to hit up the club, but once I did, it was well worth the effort.

I'm recently divorced, but have been a part of the lifestyle for most of my adult life, since I got married young, and we decided to swing quite early into our relationship. So when my wife broke the news to me that she wanted a divorce, it meant that I was facing a lot more changes in my life than many others might be. Not only was my daily home life being upended, but so was my whole sex life. I love group sex, and it's certainly not as easy to come by as a single male.

Thankfully I quickly came up with the brilliant plan of using dating apps, and looking for people who would be interested in going to a swingers club as a couple, since they're typically not a place that singles can go. It's a bit uncool of me, but desperate times call for desperate measures.

I was on vacation in Ottawa visiting some family, so I decided to check out Bashful and Bold, to se what it it was like.

The club's membership costs are a little more expensive than most that I've been to in the past, but I think that the higher priced memberships like the Diamond Membership (which costs $395 a year for a couple), is a way for wealthier couples to support the club a little bit more, so it's not so bad. They also offer a temporary membership for couples who just want to test the club out. These are only $10 a couple, and is something I've wanted more swingers clubs to incorporate for years. So that was great (and saved me a lot of money).

I'd say that the club is somewhere around 4,000 square feet, and holds somewhere around 150-200 people. It certainly wasn't at capacity when I went. That doesn't mean it wasn't a fun time. Just that it wasn't quite as active as the clubs I was used to back home.

There's a large playroom that holds around 45-50 people at once, which was a blast. Not many swingers clubs have a room that bit for group play.

For fetish play members, a dungeon s available, which has sex swings, whips, and more.

The dance floor, and has a DJ that plays sweet jams to get it on to.

I didn't use the club's jacuzzi, because I don't typically trust jacuzzis in sex clubs. Call me a prude, but that's something I'm just not interested in. My ex-wife always loved using the jacuzzi without me though... I hope that doesn't have anything to do with our divorce.

Private rooms are available but limited. If you want to stay overnight, there's a Travelodge (1486 Innes Road) less than 10 minutes away from the club. Tell them you're from Bashful And Bold, and you'll get a discount too!

-If you get hungry after all of your physical activity, you can enjoy a delicious meal at the club's buffet

-No bartender is on site, as it's a BYOB venue, so you'll have to mix your own drinks, and make sure you consume responsibly

-All sex that takes place in the club must be done with a condom

-Private rooms are available, as is a giant group playroom

-Great club layout that makes moving around even when it's very busy, a breeze

-Friendly staff that's willing to get you extra towels or fresh sheets whenever you might need them

-No pressure is placed upon members to have sex, and many couples will often attend simply to dance and watch other couples get it on

-Nearby hotel allows for all night fun to happen if 2 AM is far too early for you to go home

CONCLUSION:

I had a blast at Bashful And Bold, and if I lived in Ottawa, or my ex-wife was with me on this trip, I would have definitely gone back more than just the one time that I did.

The space is one of the best small sex clubs that I've come across (no pun intended, I swear!) in all my days as a swinger. The large playroom was something that I hope to see in more small clubs moving forward. I've had owners tell me that they're too hard to build, but this proved to me that they're full of it, and they're just too lazy to make it work.

I should have found out if the DJ spins anywhere else in town, in case I can catch them at a club somewhere in town that requires patrons to wear pants at all time, since those are the places I'll be spending most of my time at over the next few weeks.
