INTRODUCTION:

I hadn't heard of Unforumzed.com before I found it while Googling for a new gay dating forum. I haven't been going out to clubs or gay bars as much as I usually do, so meeting new people has been a little bit of a challenge.

Of course with the flick of my thumb on my cell phone, I could have a young stud over at my apartment within 20 minutes (faster than a pizza delivery!), but I'm tired of it. I broke up with my partner of 2 years, a few months ago. 2 years is a long time for me, so I was devastated, and decided I was going to have as much causal sex as possible. Apps were a great tool to get those tools into my bed, but I'm not a kid anymore, and I was finding more and more often that these guys were still sticking around in the morning, wanting to talk and have breakfast.

To be blunt, these boys usually aren't very bright. So I decided to take a spin around in some LGBT dating forums, and see if I maybe couldn't pick out my dates through a slightly more meaningful manner.

Unforumzed.com isn't exclusively an LGBT dating forum, but in my using the forum so far, and branching out into some of the more general sub-forums that are on the site, its LGBT dating forum is one of the best around.

There's around 2,500 members, so the membership isn't overwhelmingly big or small, and really allows for members to get to know each other fairly well after using the site for a little while.

The forum offers an extremely basic message board design that you've probably seen on other similar sites before, but that doesn't stop members from keeping the messages coming hot and steady.

Some of the most interesting threads are easily the ones that have been going on since as early as 2010. That topics in the LGBT community can be so long-lasting is a great sign of a loyal community that doesn't just use the forum to find hookups, but also to build a community of like-minded people.

CONCLUSION:

Don't get me wrong though. Unforumzed.com is easily a 4 out of 5 LGBT dating forum for me. I don't hesitate when I say that for even a moment.

It has a very basic layout, but all of the features that you could want from a dating forum, and on top of that, the men and women who post on the forum are great people who're not just good looking (most of them, at least), but they're also very interesting people to discuss things with if you're feeling like you need to chat with someone about a book or album that you're in love with.

The LGBT community has many shared experiences, and many of them aren't necessarily positive, but forums like this allow us to share our experiences when they are.

Pros

Finding dates and casual hookups on Unforumzed.com has been a fantastic experience so far.
  
The forums provide members a much better ability to know what type f personality they're meeting up with in advance, and that's been very helpful. While I'm still having wild sex with young bucks, I'm picking them out much more strategically. My dream men are the ones who vent about the same things that I do in the dating stories thread, so I know I don't have to worry about them annoying me when we meet up.
  
The site being a much larger site is quite useful when you're looking to chat with a larger group of people about something like the new Marvel movie, or your favorite episodes of Stranger Things. I love being able to go out into the general arts forums, and get an often very different opinion from the one you'll find in the LGBT forum, where geeks are around, but not quite as plentiful.
  
The site also has a Blogs section that I think is an extremely underrated section. It's great to be able to keep up to date on all of the comings and goings in that format.
  
Premium Memberships. Both a blessing and a curse (more on the curse element below), but the ability to post nudes in the forum is something that shouldn't be as big a deal as it is probably, but sometimes I like that Picture Thread ego stroking to be about all of me.

Cons

Before I mention my couple issues with the site, I need to say that it's a fantastic dating forum, and perhaps even one of the best LGBT dating forums (despite it not being exclusively for the LGBT+ community). The quality of LGBT folks looking to hook-up is very high.
  
For me though, there are two things that I have issue with, and hope that the site owners can take care of both of them next time they update the site. Both are also connected to positives that I just mentioned.
  
First off, is the potential problems with an LGBT dating forum being a part of a larger and much more general web forum. Thankfully there hasn't been any issues in the past, but there's definitely the potential for homophobes to begin posting in the LGBT forum, taking photos from the forum, etc. The mods seem to do a good job so far though.
  
The other issue that I have with the site is that its Premium Membership doesn't just unlock access to the forum where you can post nudes, but it also unlocks the forum where some of the internet's darkest images and videos are posted. I don't want to accidentally see any of that stuff. Leave that stuff to the Dark Web and 4Chan. I'm here to find cute singles to hookup with, not watch traffic accident videos. It's definitely easy enough to avoid, but I'd rather none of my money was going towards giving people a space to watch that type of thing.
  
Maybe I'll write to the site's design team to see if there's anything they can do about it.
