INTRODUCTION:

I have to admit that I didn't come across FMForums.co.uk (that's Famous Males Forums for those who don't know) in the most organic or intentioned way. I definitely wasn't looking to hookup with anyone that day. Quite the opposite. I was watching online porn from one of my favorite studios (Helix Studios), and I accidentally clicked a link to Famous Males.

I'm not typically attracted to many celebrities. They're all too short, and what's the point of fantasizing about someone if you're never going to see them naked?

Anyways, I had been watching a lot of gay porn that day, and when I found myself on the forum, I saw that there was a member named Mr. Lollipop online. For some reason I felt the urge to sign up for a free membership, and send Mr. Lollipop a dirty message, inviting him over to watch some "erotica" with me. Within minutes, he sent me a reply asking to see my picture (a fair request), and a picture of I had to assume, his erection.

I liked the pic that he sent me, and he liked the pic hat I sent him. He hopped in a car, and was at my house within an hour.

FMForums.co.uk is a relatively small male celebrity forum, but that's only because it's a nice and compact forum, that doesn't overcomplicate things by having 40 different sub-forums for different celebrities. If you're looking for a forum that's broken down in that way, this isn't that forum.

It's maybe one of the most subtly brilliant ways to setup this type of forum that I've ever seen.

As most people in the LGBT community know, if there's a forum with LGBT content, that means there's going to be hookups going on behind the scenes.

Famous Males has a request and fill system. A member will request a specific celebrity, and perhaps a specific photo. Another member will then fill their request.

Both the use of the word 'fill', on top of the fact that once another member has helped you out, you're given the opportunity to tell them that if they live anywhere near you, you'd love to thank them in person for filling your celebrity nude request.

Like I said, I don't really care about celebs, but a couple days later, I requested a local celeb in the hopes that someone local would fill the request. One did, and I most certainly was able to thank him in person.

This may not be your typical LGBT dating forum but it's certainly an effective one if you're not too shy to send a couple dirty messages to strangers, and pretend that you're into naked celebrities. I supposed a lot of people are actually into celebs, but why not get some real world action while you're at it too?

CONCLUSION:

Even though I found myself on FMForums.co.uk by accident at first, it's slowly becoming a big part of my sex life.

I'm still using porn to satisfy most of my sexual cravings, but I feel like I've cracked the code on Famous Males Forums, and just about anytime I want to have a quick hookup, or exchange some dirty pictures with a stranger, I can.

Because of how limited the number of active forums on the site are, there's actually a pretty small chance that I might move on after a while, but I've begun to also explore the site's gossip forum, and while I don't know who everyone is, I have Google to help me out.

The forum software that Famous Males Forums uses however is quite sharp, and makes sending DMs (or PMs as they're called in the UK, apparently).

This is a very specific type of LGBT forum though, and I understand completely if it's not really your thing. It's only my new thing because I'm not really using the site for its original purpose.

Pros

FMForums.co.uk is a fine little forum, and I hope that there's always been this sort of extra action going on behind the scenes, and it's not just something that I've come up with because of my experiences on other LGBT dating and hookup forums in the past.
  
If that turns out to be the case, I could get a reputation as a bit of a pervert. Worse things to be, I suppose.
  
I really do think that the simplicity of the main forum is the best thing that Famous Males has going for it. Only having 4 active sub-forums, a gossip archive, and the site's tech support & help forums makes it extremely streamlined, and forces everyone who's on the site to congregate in the same forums. It's something that I'm surprised more dating forums don't do.
  
The forum's tech support is on the ball, and very helpful it seems, based on the number of topics and replies to those topics over the site's life.
  
Even though a lot of forums have the option to create polls, I'm a big fan of the way polls are displayed in this forum's design layout.
  
When I think about people who're obsessed with celebrities, I don't typically think of them as being attractive, but the few guys that I've met off of the site so far have been very pleasant surprises for me. Perhaps I shouldn't have dumped my boyfriend who was obsessed with Patrick Swayze when he was younger after all.

Cons

I'm really at a loss when ti comes to what I could complain about here.
  
Perhaps the fact that I've had to slide into the DMs of unsuspecting members to get my hookups, but if the forum was also explicitly an LGBT dating forum, I suppose it would lose a lot of its charm, and the site's simplicity is something that makes it truly special. It wouldn't be worth ruining that.
  
Even though many of the ads on the forum are for porn companies that I'm a big fan of, and support, I'm generally not a fan of online ads. I get that that's how websites make money, but all sites should figure out a way to give its users an option to remove ads with a one-time donation, or in the case of larger sites, a monthly membership.
  
I'm also a bit of a video nut, so if I do end up trying out using these celebrity nudes as part of my porn routine, I'm going to really wish that there were high-res videos of these celebrities in various stages of undress. Why don't paparazzi shoot more video in those types of situations, rather than a million still images?
  
The fact that the forums rules expressly state that members can't post porn, but there are porn ads all over the site is odd.
  
It's still a mindblowingly great gay hookup spot so far for me though, so these are inconsequential complaints.
