INTRODUCTION:

I'm newer to the whole discussions boards things, forums if you will, and I do believe I've found my home at Able2Know.org where I've found a great community of supportive people who have helped me through figuring out how to come out as bisexual to my friends and family. I knew for a while I was bi, but I didn't know how to approach it with loved ones. I found the Sex Forums at Able2Know and I saw that questions were always well answered with actually good information. So I read around and asked a few questions. Then I did as suggested and came out when it felt comfortable to a few people one by one and then a few more at a time. It's gone great and I have to say I have the lovely members at Able2Know.org to thank for this. I am now a full fledge member of the forums and I have been able to help a few teens figure themselves out and figure life out a bit more which made me feel really good about myself and about my place in this life and on these boards. Being able to return the help I got, to pay it forward of sorts is one the reasons I am still a member and still active even after my questions were answered. I have a feeling a lot of the more active members think this way as well. It's also a great place to discuss anything relating to your sex life and other fun subjects.

ABOUT:

Able2Know.org was the first sex forum I was comfortable sharing on and asking questions for the other members to answer. I found the place when I was doing extensive research on how to come out as bisexual and it seemed like a great place to join, so join I did. It was easy, I was able to get a screen name so that I didn't have to give my real name, then I was able to keep reading and then ask a few questions. It was great right from the start with lots to read and a clear indication of how things were going to go. The topics are clear and the members are knowledgeable and ready to answer your questions with respect and dignity. No one here will make fun of you for asking a question as simple as "how do I know I'm bi?" or for going into an elaborate story of how you found out and now don't know what to do about it. The members here will never make fun of you as it's a place to share yourself and your fears and hopes. So they respect you and the forums themselves by always being nice and being helpful. The site is itself is easy to navigate and will give you plenty to read if you don't know if you want to be a member or not yet. The content is accessible without being a member, but to post or comment, you need to be a member.

FEATURES:

-Simple, subtle design so you can easily have the site open and not get "caught."

-No ads or pop-ups or anything like that, the site is free to read and free of distractions.

-Questions are always welcome, members are super nice about everything.

-Not safe for work content is clearly marked as so using the acronym "NSFW" in red so that you do not miss it.

-Site is simple enough that it loads easily on a cellphone so you don't have to turn on the computer to visit.

-Plenty of content to read for a long time to come, no need to be a member to read, but you do need to be logged in to comment or create a new thread.

-Clearly marked last posts to each thread so that you can find newer posts and comments easily.

-Each thread can be connected to more than one forum so that you can get more answers and more help depending on what you are looking for.

-Threads can be "thumb up" or "thumb down" which means you can easily see if people have upvoted a thread or if they disapprove of it.

-So much content, you won't run out of reading material any time soon.

-In general, the community is super nice and great to talk with.

-There is a search bar near the top right corner of the page that can be used to search for anything and see if your question has been asked before or to find a thread you've started reading but have lost track of in the constant movement of threads with each answer.

-Threads are organized with the ones with the most recent comments at the top of the page.

CONCLUSION:

As a bisexual woman, finding a safe place to talk about my preferences without judgment was a bit hard at first, but then I found Able2Know.org where I could ask any question without hesitation. The members here are generally very nice and friendly, with of course a few bad apples who are easily ignored. I have been here posting and answering fairly actively for a long while and I am happy to say I don't see that changing any time soon. I love the design of the place, which is deceptively simple, as it loads on my phone easily and I can read on here on my long train rides from work to home at night, especially when I have to take the extra slow train. I love that it gives me something to keep me away, where there is some very adult content, but also some younger adult content which is easy to read and respond to anywhere I am when I find some time to come on the forum and do this. I would say the sex forums at Able2Know are a great please to get started as a bisexual online as there are simple questions and answers posts and there are other more involved posts where a reader or member can easily see what others in our world are into and even get some fairly well defined fantasies right there on the boards. All of this information and fun stuff can easily be used to learn more about yourself, which is ultimately my goal here, to learn about myself and help others learn about themselves so that we can all be happier humans.

Pros

It's a very free and full of freedom of speech kind of forum. The posts at Able2Know.org are very lightly, if at all, moderated. Here it's all about the members having a good talk together and content is marked by subjects, types, and whether they are safe for work or not. I've seen teens on the forums, so be careful what you open as there is some material that is not appropriate for everyone. That being said, a lot of the subjects approached are perfectly fine for younger eyes and reader, but I would not suggest letting kids read this forum just yet. For now, adults and older teens are fine, but I don't know if I would go any younger. This means it's a good thing that the boards are simply colored and look like just about any other boards, so you can get on here and not be noticed too much. If you ever were to read on your phone while at work (on break of course), not only would it load great, it also is subtle enough that no one around you would know unless you told them. That to me a great thing as I've read this and answered questions while on public transport, so it's good no wandering eyes could catch me. Of course, it all depends on who you are and what you have out there in the open. For me it's not really a problem, but I don't want to offend anyone if some of the more adult content were to show up in my readings, so the subtlety is great for that.

Cons

Something that is both a positive and a negative on Able2Know.org is the lack of proper moderators as most of us are used to on other discussion boards. Here, I have not seen anyone step in and warn people for bad language or remove bad posts or redundancy. It means that yeah you get a lot more freedom, but it can be a bit needed at times to have a grown-up as some would say step in and resolve arguments. As I have said, most people on this sex forum are nice as can be, but there are always a few people that can be a bit nastier or push buttons for the sake of pushing buttons. I always just ignore them, even when they name me in their responses and they always go away eventually. The core group here is what's important and all the core members are really nice and agreeable people. Never worry about asking any question, no matter how silly it might feel, there are no stupid questions except for those we do not ask, so go ahead and ask away, one of the older and more mature members will answer you gladly. If you are not sure you want to risk it, check out what's already on the forums and go from there, chances are that your question has already been asked in a different format so you can't find it in the search bar, but you can find it by reading around a bit. If not, don't worry about the less nice members, just ask, the good ones will be there for you.
