Pros

This is a great site! I've read a lot of mature dating site reviews, and I've also signed up for a few sites in order to get a full first-hand experience, and see what works for me personally. Since I've been using online dating sites for a while, I know what makes a good site. These are some of my favorite parts of Our Time.
  
The design is simple but considering the audience, that's perfectly chosen. The seniors dating scene is certainly not devoid of sex but it is primarily focused on personality, and the text that comes with your profile.
  
The fact that it's a free site with paid elements is something that I wish a lot more dating sites would implement. Interesting that a mature dating site is ahead of the curve on things like this.
  
Even though it's relatively common, having both chat and message options available to members is fantastic. The women that I've met on the site so far don't use their computers that often, so the rate of reply isn't as frequent as on your typical dating site. So having them able to chat and get what's essentially a bunch of messages done in one sitting is very useful.
  
The site's Events section is something that I haven't seen elsewhere, so I was impressed by the idea. There's a lot of stress that comes with first dates, and as we enter our later years, that sort of stress (or even waste of time) isn't very appealing. A great way to eliminate it.

Cons

There honestly isn't that much to complain about with the site. As you see above, the people who run the site are creating a lot of interesting features that even dating sites for younger people aren't implementing. So as I'm entering my mature dating site days it's great to see that I'm not being left in the dust like some dinosaur like a lot of people might expect. Us old dogs still have a couple new tricks up our sleeves.
  
While I think that the idea of having the site be free to sign up for, but having a few special features that you have to pay for is quite inventive, and makes fantastic business sense for the people behind the site, it also feels like it's treating seniors like the test market before they roll it out for their other sites. I could be wrong of course, but that's the vibe that I get from it. Seniors are often among the poorest of generations, and need to still wok part time jobs even after they've retired. To know that some of the people who're using the site might be struggling financially, but still having to pay money in order to optimize their online dating experience, feels a bit off to me.
  
The fact that there isn't an app is something that I wish would be remedied soon. The stereotype of a senior citizen using a flip phone is outrageous. I want to be able to swipe left on these old hotties!
