I really don’t know what it is about FirstMet.com, but there are so many interesting features and topics to talk about. I am internally screaming. Who would have known that a website that had a lot fewer users than a mainstream dating website would be so much freaking better! To a lot of people, this would like a hookup website, but I have met more amazing people on here than I could have ever met on a different dating site. I have been around the block, let me tell you when it comes to dating and hookup websites. I honestly don’t believe that any of them are trash, but I think it’s important to find one that suits your niches and suits your personality. I have found my website and I couldn’t be more excited! There are so many different features that this website has that are unlike any other hookup website that I have ever tried. Nothing really compares to FirstMet.com! In my review, I'm going to be speaking about the pros (the things that I do like about this site), the cons (the things I don't like about this site), the features, about the website itself, and will also end with a conclusion. FirstMet.com has tons of features and fun aspects to it that I would like to tell you about. First of all, I can't say it enough but this dating site has FORUMS! Forums are pretty much comment heaven for me. I love communicating back and forth with other people. It always helps me when it comes to learning about other people and other peoples points of view. Always very cool stuff. The layout of the website was extremely confusing for me at first until it clicked. It is a very neat and different layout. It is definitely nothing like I had ever seen before. You will understand once you sign up ;)! Something else that this website has is the opportunity to look at everyone's profiles. Even if you are not necessarily "interested" in women, you are able to become friends and see each other's profiles. Say that you are commenting back and forth with someone on a forum and you are hitting it off... You can become friends no matter what! I love this website because I feel like it is not only for hookups sometimes, but also can be for friends, and I am totally into both of those things. Something about this website is how open people are to being open. I have found so many like-minded people here that it is insane! Its kind of like the universe brought us all here for a reason (not trying to get weird but...) it's just strange! This is a great site.

- There are website and app versions available! There is nothing I hate more than having to use the internet browser on my phone to check if I have messages from anyone. I find that there are a lot of old school dating websites out there that don't have apps. This one definitely has an older feel to it but at least they have an app!

- You are able to partake in forums! So, forums are some of my favorite things in life... There are a lot of forums that I am signed up to and a lot that I participate in on a regular basis. Never have I ever seen a hookup website with a forum column, so this little add on was definitely the cherry on top when it came to which website I was going to choose to sign up with! (The choice was easy)... Another thing about having forums on a dating website is that you get to read people's opinions and views before actually giving them a message. I know that a lot of people are only here to hookup, but I don't think that I would want to hook up with someone who I didn't vibe with!

Conclusion:

In conclusion, I would like to say that FirstMet.com is the best hookup/dating website that I have used! I have definitely been around the block when it comes to dating and hookup apps and websites, but this one definitely takes the cake. Until someone comes up with something better, I will NOT be going elsewhere! There are a lot of things about this website that I enjoy, but to say the least, the people who are online are literally the best. There are communities of different people talking about different things all over the world, and though everyone probably feels this way about their community, I feel as if mine is the best. Everyone is so respectful and honestly just so kind. I have met a bunch of people already. Some I have hooked up with and others and I have made the decision to just keep it platonic. I honestly love having online friends and the fact that some of these people are willing to be in regular friendly relationships without anything in return is just wonderful. Something that I haven't mentioned yet is the fact that there are a ton of really good looking people on this site. Not that it really matters, but I think that they have all flocked here for some reason. I'm not quite sure if there is a rhyme or reason to it but I definitely don't care. Pros

  • There are tons of pros when it comes to what’s good about FirstMet.com! I have been quite impressed from the first time I signed up. I have noticed that there are a ton of men who are actually respectful... for some reason when I first thought about hookup sites, I was worried that everyone was going to be sketchy and seedy haha. I was totally wrong. Being a woman I am always looking for danger (unfortunately), and to be completely honest, I haven't sensed it with anyone I have spoken to. It is really refreshing to know that there is somewhere I can go in order to find a hookup that isn't going to make me feel strange or uncomfortable. This is definitely the first hookup website that has made me feel this way! Something that I love about this website is that there is a section for forums. Forums are literally everything. I love creating different forums and hearing peoples opinions on certain topics, so when I saw that there was a section where I could do this, I was totally sold. Something else that I found extremely amusing is the fact that you are able to post videos instead of just photos. It is hilarious what some people come up with! I also like the fact that you can post videos because I find that it is so much easier to read someone or get to know someone when you can see their body language instead of just a photo.

Cons

  • Even though I am totally in love with this website, there are still a few things that I dislike about it. Even though everyone on the site seems to be super respectful (from my experience), there is really no way of blocking someone. You are able to "unfriend" but that doesn’t mean that they won’t stop bothering you. You are still able to message someone even if you aren’t a friend. If someone is bothering you the site actually likes it if you contact them directly so that they kind of have an idea of who the trouble makers are. I guess that instead of blocking someone and not making it known to the website, the person will continue on with their antics. Now that I am actually talking about it, it seems a lot more like a positive than a negative. I guess that it just seems like a negative when you want a quick fix and can’t get it. Another thing that I dislike about this website is the fact that it was so friggin’ hard to maneuver at first!!! Haha, of course with everything you will get better with time but, I definitely did have a bit of a difficult time at first finding my way around! When it comes to my cons about this website, this is really all that I have noticed that I am not a huge fan of. Other than all of this, I have had a very good experience with everything else :)
