It's not even that the profiles were fake it was more like they just weren't used anymore, almost like someone made a profile to see what POF was all about but then didn't actually follow through to use the site as a way to find members to date.
No ID confirmation: There's no ID confirmation on the site. This means that as a member who wanted to get the most out of the site and find singles who were a good match for me to date I had to make sure to be careful and protect my personal information until I really got to know the person that I was interested in.
There's No Video Chat Feature: I really like having the ability to actually see and chat with the singles that I'm interested in first before I meet them in person this way I'm not wasting my time (or theirs). If when we see each other in person we know it's not going to work out, we can just end the chat and move on.
Although these are some Cons to using Plenty of Fish as my main source for dating but really as long as I'm smart about dating, they aren't going to keep me from using the site.
